Challenger II
Armoured warfare is about shock action combined with intense firepower. The British Army is light and lethal - but they also have heavy armour including The Queen's Royal Hussars, who are equipped with the world-beating Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank. The Challenger 2 has been design ed with cutting edge technology and the crews have to be razor sharp to work in a fast-moving and complex environment.
The superb Challenger 2 (CR2) is the British Army's Main Battle Tank. CR2 is based on the Challenger 1 that served with distinction on operations in the Gulf War and the Balkans. You will find a superb visual of the Challenger 2 with details and crew duties, in the Museum.
